How to put xfinity router in bridge mode

The Comcast gateway has only two Ethernet connections. One is for my Asus router. I am wondering if i can connect the second Ethernet, either because the gateway is in bridge mode and it will not work, or because the second Ethernet connection will require a second IP address from Comcast, and they'll charge me for it. Any ideas? Thanks!

In order for the xi6 to work it needs to have WiFi and MoCa networks available. They will only work with a rented modem. They will not work with the modem in bridge mode or a owned modem.
